Youth Ministry

What Redeemer offers is unique. It offers a time of fellowship, discipleship, prayer, and teaching that reinforces the philosophy of ministry of the church. Your child does not get this anywhere else, and the benefit is significant.

Mission

  • Encouraging discipleship among the youth, while taking age sensitive matters into consideration.

Who

  • Members and friends entering the 7th grade through the 12th grade.

What

  • Seek to gain a better understanding of the "Fear of Man" prominent in young hearts
  • We will use material from Ed Welch's book, "When People are Big and God is Small"

When

  • WYGT (Weekly Youth Group Thing)
  • YXL (Youth Excelling in Leadership)
  • Summer mission trips
  • Tweens/Covenant Girls on the first and third Wednesdays

Why

  • Souls in Transition and the centrality of the Church encourage you to participate
  • The spiritual well being of your child is at stake

How

  • Life and Doctrine are constantly married in Redeemer Youth Ministry
  • We seek to strike a balance between doctrinal accuracy and grace centered piety in a way that is realistic and conducive to youth
  • After seeking to develop a leadership strain within the youth group, this year we are hoping to implement a greater emphasis on discipleship
