Redeemer’s organ started life over 40 years ago as an ICMI-Heyligers custom made electronic organ from a Dutch design. Before being installed at Redeemer, this organ has been in several locations including our sister PCA church; Bethel in Dallas. After evaluating a number of paths forward, we decided to convert the organ into a digital “Hauptwerk” organ. A Hauptwerk organ leverages new digital technology that has emerged recently. The sample set is created by digitally recording actual famous cathedral organ stops including their cathedral acoustics and replicating them through a computer contained inside an organ console. Our primary sample set was recorded from the famous 61 rank 65 stop Willis organ in Salisbury Cathedral in England.
We have made available the wonderful sounds of our recent Organ dedication for your listening pleasure.
