Women in the Church
...speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the
mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the
whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament,
grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.
Ephesians 4:15-16
The purpose of the Women's Ministry is that every woman know Christ personally and be committed to extending His Kingdom in her life, home, church, community and throughout the world. The framework of the Women's Ministry provides an opportunity for each woman to discern and exercise her gifts and abilities to the glory of God in the total work and worship of the church. The goal is that this purpose will become a reality as women are given opportunities to respond to the Gospel and to pray, study the Scriptures, fellowship and serve the Lord together. The Women's Ministry recognizes that all ministries and activities of the church are under the authority and guidance of the session.
Our Redeemer WIC encourages women to grow in Christ through the following ideals:
- Grounding our members in the faith by providing times for spiritual growth through a variety of venues
- Encouraging regular times of fellowship with our sisters in Christ
- Promoting unity and enriching the church’s ministry by serving others.
Serving on one of the WIC committees is a way you can be involved in ministering to our church body. Please contact the Lynda Teasley - President of the Women's Ministry at
lyndagteasley@sbcglobal.net if you would like to be involved in the Cheer & Social Committee that coordinates, plans, and oversees social events, including church picnics, potluck meals, family activities, wedding & baby showers, holiday gatherings and other special church functions. They assist in worship by beautifying the sanctuary with flowers for Sundays and other occasions.
