The WIC philosophy of ministry is grounded on woman’s helper design. “The Lord said, ‘It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.’” (Gen. 2:18).

The purpose of the PCA’s Women In the Church is:
“that every woman know Christ personally and be committed to extending His kingdom in her life, home, community, church and throughout the world.” (From the WIC Resource Manual)
Redeemer’s WIC hopes to accomplish this through the following ways:

  • Grounding our members in the faith by providing times for spiritual growth through a variety of venues.
  • Encouraging regular times of fellowship with our sisters in Christ
  • Promoting unityand enriching the church’s ministry by serving others.

Serving on one of the WIC committees is just one of the ways you can be involved in ministering to our church body. WIC’s service committees include:

Cheer

Sends cards, flowers, etc. as encouragement to Redeemer attenders. Oversees wedding and baby showers. Aids in worship by beautifying the sanctuary with flowers for Sundays and other occasions.

Outreach

Provides information concerning opportunities to meet physical/spiritual needs in the community and the world. Seeks ways to involve the women in outreachopportunities.

Prayer

Maintains the telephone prayer chain, encourages prayer among WIC members and oversees the women’s weekly prayer meetings.

Social

Coordinates, plans, and oversees social events, including church picnics, potluck meals, holiday gatherings or other special church functions. Plans and coordinates special family activities.
