Kairos Prison Ministry

Kairos is an international ecumenical ministry that spends time inside prisons sharing the Gospel with prisoners. Six members of Redeemer will be part of the team going inside the Michael Unit near Palestine in April. To learn more about what we do, listen to the 3-minute testimonial from Tommy Fisher who went through the Kairos program several years ago. The link is online at:

There are many ways for RPC members to become involved in the program:

  • If you would like to be part of the team this spring or would like to attend the closing ceremony at the prison on April 8, contact team leader Stewart Teasley at 972-632-0142.
  • We ask for your prayers for the team. Prayer chain forms will be available from time to time. Just put your first name and city of residence and we will make a chain perhaps several hundred feet long to show the prisoners who are praying for them.
  • In March a table will be set up in the Narthex with more information about our work and give you an opportunity to buy meal tickets (for the prisoners) at $5 each, make general financial contributions or sign up to make cookies to be delivered to the prisoners.
  • A Kairos spaghetti dinner fundraiser will be held at First Frisco UMC on January 13 featuring Tommy Fisher in the testimonial video. Details and sign up information are on the bulletin board.
