“We ask you, brothers, to respect those who labor among you and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, and to esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves.” ~1 Thessalonians 5:12-13 (ESV)

Stewart Teasley

Stewart and his wife Lynda joined Redeemer in 2006 after moving to the McKinney area from California. They are blessed with four adult children and six grandchildren ages 3 to 19.

Stewart worked for Texas Instruments and Rockwell in the Dallas area for 26 years before being transferred to California in 1993. His initial volunteer position at RPC was serving as Building Committee chair for Phase 2 that included a sanctuary expansion and addition of the new educational wing. He then served as the Church Administrator prior to moving into his current position as the Church Treasurer. His prior experience in church finance and administration spans 35 years.

Stewart appreciates the faithful commitment of the staff and officers of Redeemer to the Word of God as revealed in the Holy Scriptures. It is uplifting to be part of a congregation that holds fast to Biblical truth and avoids compromising that truth by falling to secular temptations. He enjoys the writings of R.C. Sproul, one of which is Chosen by God which clarifies several aspects of the Reformed faith.

In his spare time, Stewart works as the treasurer of HOPE Women’s Center, a crisis pregnancy center in McKinney founded by Redeemer. He also enjoys classical music and ski trips to Utah and Colorado.
