Redeemer Presbyterian Church is committed to:
Word
Ultimately, our hearts desire and request unto God for our people at Redeemer is that they may be saved, and become transformed into the likeness of Christ through the Christian Education that takes place.
In order for Christian Education to occur, teaching must take place. Teaching at Redeemer is based on the Word of God found in the infallible and inerrant scriptures of the Old and New Testaments. (2 Tim. 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21) The teaching communicates doctrines, which are timeless truths from God’s Word, applicable in every day and age.
Lord willing, through the teaching of Redeemer, a greater understanding and appreciation for the truths of God’s Word will be developed, allowing our people to grow in grace and move from milk to solid food in their spiritual diet (1 Corinthians 3:2; Hebrews 5:13-14).
Witness (inreach)
Our church is a place of fellowship, love, and growth, in the hope that God through His Holy Spirit, might be pleased to use us as instruments for the building up and caring for the members of the body of Christ. We desire to be intentional in this area so that Christ might be increasingly more evident and that God might receive increasingly more glory both in and through the lives of the members of RPC and the lives of those around us (I Cor. 13; Matt 22:34-40).
Our Elders will lead the way in nurture as they shepherd those members in their shepherd group through prayer, visitation and training.
As the Covenant people of God, we are committed to nurturing members of all ages, as well as visitors worshipping with us. We desire to present the grace of Jesus Christ through life experiences and teaching using methods of ministry that are Biblically faithful, as well as culturally sensitive.
Witness (outreach)
In our culture and in our community, it is easy to look around and think we have all that we need. Many times we are comfortable because of the things that surround us. We believe that true joy comes only by knowing Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Instead of looking to a social gospel, we cling to the life changing gospel that satisfies completely. Our desire is that others know this same gospel of grace. To share this gospel, we seek to build relationships with others in our neighborhoods, workplaces, and schools so that lives are completely changed by it. We also take an active part in missions outside our area and around the world. It is the same gospel that saves, so we want to be about sharing this gospel with the people of Collin County and the world. It is not only the “good news,” it is the greatest news that anyone could ever hear!
